PROJECT DOSSIER

Amasonic

An interactive XR river song made from human and non-human perspectives of the Amazon

Synopsis

AMASONIC is an interactive multi-user XR sound installation that frames the Amazon River not as a distant object, but as a living subject and complex acoustic ecosystem. Participants embody human and non-human perspectives, explore a spatial river interface and trigger real bioacoustic data, stories and sounds gathered with local communities and scientists. Their interactions merge into an evolving collective “River Song” connecting climate research, indigenous knowledge and immersive media art.
